Dr. Christopher Uhl: Research Overview

Though I have conducted research and published papers in a variety of realms—e.g., nutrient cycling, forestry, economics, fire ecology, agroecology, sustainable development—all my research falls under the rubric of healing. Indeed, all my past research in Amazonia focused, in one way or the other, on ecological wounds and the healing process, just as my present scholarship, focusing as it does, on “developing ecological consciousness” and “teaching as if life matters” is dedicated to the healing of our minds and hearts.
