Fully funded PhD/Master positions focusing on Embodied Interactions with Immersive Environment:


The College of Information Sciences and Technology, in collaboration with The Center for Immersive Experiences (https://immersive.psu.edu/), invites aspiring students to apply for multiple open PhD and Master positions in the area of Embodied Interactions with immersive environments (augmented, mixed, and virtual reality). Successful candidates will conduct dissertation research in the area of designing immersive environment, natural speech and full-body gesture interactions, mixed-initiative and conversational dialogues, as well as their integration. The positions include admissions to Ph.D. or Master programs in Informatics and full funding (stipend, tuition and benefits) for the period of their study (four years for PhD students and two-year for master’s students).

Applicants are expected to hold a Bachelor or master’s degree in information sciences or computer science, geomatics, GIScience, or other related fields is expected. We particularly seek creative and technically skilled minds who are motivated to develop innovative design solutions to enhance the interactive experiences with immersive environment. Applicants should have a good command of English both spoken and written. Applications from females and under-represented groups are particularly encouraged. .
