This website was designed in the hopes that it would be useful, primarily to people who don't know much about the state of homelessness in the United States. While the Annual Homeless Assessment Report and the "Opening Doors" plan are excellent resources, they're both rather imposing documents. If you learned something by browsing this site that you wouldn't have otherwise, then I'm happy. It's important to note, though, that by necessity I was forced to leave out countless important facets of homelessness, from veteran homelessness to homelessness in minority groups, like people of color and members of the LGBTQ community. If you're interested in learning more about the problem of homelessness in the U.S., don't be afraid to click through the links to the original documents themselves and read up on whatever fact piqued your interest. The more we all know about the homeless members of our community, the more we can do to help.
