Admission Procedure

Admission to the major is by audition on an instrument that is taught by School of Music Performance faculty.

Students are admitted to the School of Music and the College of Arts and Architecture under the designation AAMUS and begin to track their intended degree program. Program reviews are held during the fourth semester. Students who have achieved satisfactory standing may then formally change to their intended major.

Students who are tracking the BA in Music, Music Technology Option are advised to follow the course sequence shown on the Recommended Academic Plan.

Students who do not have a music background but still wish to focus in music and audio technologies may wish to explore the Integrative Arts major or the music technology minor.
