Michael DeGiorgio, principal investigator. Michael received his B.S. in mathematics and in computer science from the University of Central Florida in 2006, and his Ph.D. in bioinformatics from the University of Michigan in 2011. He was subsequently a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California, Berkeley and joined the faculty of the Departments of Biology and Statistics and the Institute for CyberScience at Pennsylvania State University in January 2014. He was named an Alfred P. Sloan fellow in 2017.
