IC 4406
Dusty Filaments in a Bipolar Nebula
The bright central region of IC 4406 is surrounded by an astounding network of
filamentary dust features. The Planetary Camera chip, in which the nucleus is
centered, has a width of 35 arcsec. The green specks on the frame are
caused by "cosmic rays" that continually bombard the camera.
